About Us

Founder & Counselor

Rich has over 35 years of experience working with individuals suffering from substance use disorder, criminal thinking, family recovery, and anger management. A majority of his tenure was 22 years in the juvenile justice system treating probation and foster youth at a residential level of care. Rich has also worked with some of the most challenging populations in the California prison system, supporting the development of the recovery programs that are available to individuals preparing for parole. He maintains engagement with the South Lake Tahoe community through coaching young athletes and child advocacy. 

Counselor

April has been working in the addiction/mental health field for over 10 years and has recently become a doctoral student to build her clinical acumen in clinical psychology. Working with homeless populations in South Los Angeles to the privately insured in Orange County has given April experience with a multitude of cultures and socioeconomic backgrounds in the state of California. She has specialty certifications in traumatic stress studies, Brainspotting, and leadership to support clients on their journey to recover. Remaining of service through local recovery groups and supporting health care education to local agencies has highlighted her commitment to local wellness campaigns.
