International Overdose Awareness Day

Rj counseling staff, community leaders in the addiction field, and those impacted by overdose will be speaking to the community about their experiences with drug overdose.

Leaders in the South Lake Tahoe and El Dorado County community will have information tables to educate the public on services available in our community to support a reduction in overdose deaths.

Trained counselors and therapists will be available to provide brief intervention services to support attendees with tools and resources to assist in their healing journey after being impacted by overdose.

Get to know the differences in available opiate addiction intervention medications such as suboxone and how it works on the mechanism of action in our brains. Explore the process of addiction intervention counseling and how it can improve our community health. 

Participate in stress reduction workshops focused on the power of breathwork and meditation when coping with grief and cravings of drugs or alcohol.
