Individual counseling is available for clients to gain the necessary education and coping skills to combat addiction to alcohol or other substances in a more private setting. After an initial intake appointment, clients will develop treatment plan goals based upon current barriers to recovery. Through consistent attendance and development of coping strategies in session, clients can gain the needed confidence in daily activities without the use of substances.
Group counseling is available for clients that incorporates relapse prevention, cognitive behavioral therapy, life skills, mental health and substance use education. Groups consist of no more than 12 clients and provide a forum to discuss issues faced in recovery. Individualized care plan will be created after an assessment and intake has been completed to assure that the appropriate treatment setting is provided based upon severity of use.
